Overview

L I G H T / small works is a curated open call celebrating how light lives in small spaces. The exhibition invites artists to create intimate works that hold presence, texture, and quiet energy within a limited scale.

Eligibility

Open to all artists.

No age or location restrictions.

Artwork Specifications

• Maximum size: 10 × 10 inches × 2 inches deep, including any framing.

• Works must be ready to hang and securely affixed to the wall.

• Up to two pieces per artist.

Entry Fees

• $25 per submission

Payment is due at the time of submission and is non-refundable.

Submission Process

• Entries must be submitted online using venmo 

 • All artworks must be labeled on the back with:

artist name, artwork title, medium, and hanging orientation.

• Packaging must also be labeled with artist name and title.

Delivery & Collection

• Works must arrive at the gallery by Friday, November 28 at 5 pm.

• Artists are responsible for timely delivery; late arrivals cannot be included.

• Unsold works may be collected January 8 - 11, 2026 during gallery hours.

• Illumine Gallery cannot store uncollected works beyond these dates.  Pieces not collected will be donated. 

Exhibition & Sales

• All works will be priced at $225, with the artist receiving $150 and Illumine Gallery retaining $75 as commission.

• All works must be for sale; no presales permitted.

• Sales are final and inclusive of any applicable taxes.

• The exhibition will run December 5 - January 3, with an opening reception on Friday, December 5 from 4 - 6 pm.

Care & Display

• All artworks must be in sound, exhibition-ready condition upon arrival.

• Illumine Gallery reserves the right to exclude works that do not meet these standards.

• Works on paper may be displayed with pins at the gallery’s discretion.

• While due care will be taken, Illumine Gallery assumes no responsibility for loss or damage.

Additional Notes

• Original packaging may not be retained.

• Shipping or return costs for out-of-area artists are the responsibility of the artist.

• By submitting, artists acknowledge these terms and confirm their participation.
